All the year around you can use things you would otherwise throw out such as coffee grounds, egg shells, vegetable peelings, paper towels, tea bags and fruit peelings and these things get decomposed and you will end up with a tremendous material that feeds your soil.
Value of compost
Use compost for more valuable production. One can easily make compost from garden and kitchen waste. Though it is bit more time consuming than buying chemical pesticides and fertilizers [Usage of fertilizer], the compost certainly helps to put the garbage to good use and so saves the environment.
Organic farming does not use chemicals that may have an adverse affect on your health; this type of gardening uses only compost or any other natural or organic fertilizers.
Compost is also cost saving because one does not need to buy costly chemical fertilizers and pesticides with organic gardening.
